About Bricko

A plan should serve the body. Not the other way around.

Most training apps hand you a calendar. The ones that do adapt mostly go on the training you have already logged. Bricko starts from how you are this morning, and shapes today around it. Built for beginner and intermediate runners and triathletes, from a first 5K through to Ironman.

The story

The plan knew the calendar. It didn't know the body.

Training apps got something right. They put structured coaching in front of runners and triathletes who couldn't have afforded a real coach. That access mattered.

What they could not do is see who was doing the training. A fixed plan doesn't know your heart-rate variability dropped overnight, that you slept badly, that there's a niggle in the left calf. It asks for the same effort it asked for yesterday, whether or not you have it.

Push past what you have today and you don't end up further forward. You end up sore, flat, and further from the goal than when you started. That is when today should get smaller, while the goal stays exactly where it is.

"Make the body work for the training, or make the training work for the body. That's the whole game."
The rules

Three rules, every morning.

What the engine actually follows when it decides today.

Who's behind it

Small on purpose.

Two people. The voice in the app is the voice of the people making it.

Dan Geisler

Head coach · Club Coaction

The shape of every session in the library, what it is for and how it ought to feel, is his. He has coached British age group champions, and age group world and European champions. His own athletes have taken 30 minutes off a marathon, broken a 70.3 PB by almost half an hour, and qualified for Ironman Worlds.

Those results came from Dan coaching people one to one, not from this app. Bricko is in beta and has none of its own to show yet. What it has is his session library and his approach to using it.

Founder

Building Bricko because he wanted this app to exist and it didn't. A plan that reads the body, adapts without drama, and talks to you like a coach who's on your side.

Where things stand

Honest about the stage.

  1. Now: in beta

    Android, invite by invite

Small rounds, so there is time to see how the engine copes with a new set of bodies before the next lot arrive.

  2. Next: iPhone

    iOS after Android settles

One platform first, so the engine and the daily loop are solid. An iPhone version follows.

  3. Then: open up

    Wider release

More wearables, and the doors open past invite-only.

Sound like the way you'd want to train?

A public sign-up opens once the beta has done its job. Until then, asking is the way in.

Ask for an invite

Free while the beta runs. Android and Garmin only.
